Flow Forging is the most advanced manufacturing process in use today for the production of cast aluminium alloy road wheels.

The process involves the casting of unique preforms which are subsequently reheated prior to being placed onto flow forging moulds. Lateral pressure is then applied to each casting via roll formers to extrude and compress the rim section to form the full-size wheel.

The flow forging process alters the mechanical properties of the casting resulting in tensile strengths that are matched only by more expensive press forging techniques.

The advantages over conventional cast wheels are stronger and significantly lighter rims that are directly comparable to more expensive press forged aluminium road wheels.
